About the Position
TravelNurseSource is partnering with job.com LLC to find a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Miami, Florida. This role is designed for a professional ready to deliver patient-centered care within a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment.
The Role
As a PCU RN, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high clinical standards while managing a diverse caseload. The position offers a dynamic day-to-day experience where you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor vitals and pain levels. You will play a key role in educating patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions, all while maintaining accurate documentation in various EMR systems.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor ongoing conditions
- check_circleAdminister medications and treatments per physician orders
- check_circleMonitor vitals, pain levels, and report any clinical changes
- check_circleAssist with ADLs and patient mobility where applicable
- check_circleEducate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- check_circleFollow infection control and safety protocols in a high-acuity setting
- check_circleMaintain accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech
Requirements
- verifiedActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- verifiedBLS Certification
- verifiedMinimum 1-2 years of recent experience in PCU
- verifiedExperience in hospital or clinical setting
- verifiedExperience with IV therapy, telemetry, and high-acuity patients
Nice to Have
Experience in hospital or clinical setting. ACLS certification.
