Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Miami, FL. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment. You will be a vital part of a team-based setting, delivering patient-centered care and collaborating with interdisciplinary groups to ensure the highest clinical standards.

The Role

In this 13-week contract starting ASAP, you will manage a caseload of patients requiring acute care. Your day-to-day involves performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments per physician orders. You will play a key role in patient safety by monitoring vitals and pain levels, reporting clinical changes promptly, and maintaining accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.

Beyond clinical duties, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient mobility where applicable. A significant part of your impact will be educating patients and their families on care plans and discharge instructions while strictly adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Success in this role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously, and adaptability in a dynamic hospital setting.
