Travel Nurse RN - Postpartum

About the Position

TravelNurseSource is partnering with TalentBurst, Inc. to find a qualified Postpartum Registered Nurse for HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge in Lonetree, Colorado. This role focuses on the Mother/Baby unit, providing care for new families during a critical transition period.

About the Unit

The unit consists of 26 beds and operates on a day shift schedule (7A - 7P). The team structure includes a Charge RN, 7-8 RNs, and 1 Lactation Consultant (LC) during the day, with 1 Charge RN and 6-7 RNs on the night shift. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:3 or 1:4. The team utilizes Meditech and CPN for electronic medical records.

Typical Responsibilities

Nurses on this unit perform procedures such as newborn circumcisions and provide essential education to parents regarding newborn safety, nurturing, and health.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and patient nurse with a "can-do" attitude. A strong priority is placed on direct patient care experience. Candidates should possess at least one year of current Mother/Baby acute care hospital experience, along with BLS and NRP certifications. Experience in lactation and transitions is highly valued.
