About the Position
TravelNurseSource is partnering with TalentBurst, Inc. to find a qualified Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby unit at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. This is a seasonal travel contract located at 550 N. Hillside St, specifically on the 5th floor of the Main Entrance.
About the Team and Unit
The 5 Womens Hospital/Postpartum unit (660) is a close-knit family of nurses and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) who work collaboratively on a busy floor. The unit manages 29 beds with a typical staffing model of 61 staff members. Patient ratios are set at 3-4 couplets per RN. The hospital delivers between 400-500 babies per month.
While the main unit handles high-risk post-partum patients, low-risk patients are separated out on a free-standing LDRP located across the street. The team utilizes Meditech/CPN as the EMR and Welch Allen vitals machines, CPN monitors, and POC Glucose monitoring equipment. The unit operates under HCA ICARE standards of behavior.
