Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery

About the Position

Join our Labor & Delivery team in Oregon City, OR, as a Registered Nurse supporting a Level II maternity unit with a Level I nursery. This 13-week contract role focuses on providing compassionate care to mothers and newborns, ranging from low-risk pregnancies to complex cases including gestational hypertension, pre-eclampsia, and multiple gestations. The unit admits babies greater than 35 weeks gestation and offers a supportive environment for both vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections.

The Role & Environment

You will work a night shift schedule (3 days x 12 hours, 19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend coverage. The unit operates with a 1:1 ratio for active labors and 1:3 for postpartum couples, adhering to AWHONN staffing standards. The facility features a 14-bed LDRP unit with an on-site Operating Room, resuscitation nurses, and dedicated break nurses to ensure patient safety and team well-being.

While the primary focus is on the L&D unit, travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby. Candidates must be prepared to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). A personal vehicle is required for this assignment, and candidates must be willing to complete non-billable training modules prior to starting.
