TravelNurseSource is partnering with job.com LLC to find a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) assignment in New York, NY. This role is designed for a skilled professional ready to join a fast-paced healthcare environment, delivering patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high clinical standards.
In this high-acuity, team-based setting, you will serve as a critical member of the ICU unit. The position requires strong clinical judgment and adaptability as you manage multiple patients in an acute care hospital setting. Your day-to-day involves performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments per physician orders. You will also assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor vitals and pain levels, and maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech. Depending on your location, you may find opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, or water sports. Travel nurses often play essential roles during public health crises, contributing to vaccination campaigns and disease control efforts.
