We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Dallas, TX. This role is critical for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a high-acuity, team-based hospital setting. The successful candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest clinical standards while managing complex patient needs.
In this 13-week contract starting ASAP, you will be the frontline advocate for patients requiring critical care. Your day will involve performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments per physician orders. You will play a key role in maintaining patient safety by monitoring vitals and pain levels, reporting clinical changes immediately, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.
Beyond clinical duties, you will educate patients and their families on care plans and discharge instructions, ensuring a smooth transition of care. You will also maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech while strictly adhering to infection control and safety protocols. This position requires adaptability and strong clinical judgment to manage multiple patients effectively in a rotating shift schedule of three 12-hour days.
