TravelNurseSource is partnering with job.com LLC to find a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in New York, NY. This role is designed for a skilled professional ready to join a fast-paced healthcare environment, delivering patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high clinical standards.
In this high-acuity, team-based setting, you will serve as a critical member of the ICU unit. The position requires strong clinical judgment and adaptability as you manage multiple patients in a hospital setting. Your day-to-day involves performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments per physician orders. You will also assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor vitals and pain levels, and maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech. Additionally, you will play a key role in educating patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions while strictly following infection control and safety protocols.
