About the Position
This 13-week contract opportunity is based in Durham, NC, with Cynet Health. The role focuses on the Endoscopy department, supporting a fast-paced environment that handles routine and surveillance colonoscopies, EGDs, and inpatient bronchoscopies. The unit accommodates a daily census of approximately 28 patients with around 23 visits per day, utilizing three procedure rooms, four pre-procedure rooms, and four post-procedure rooms.
The nursing team plays a critical role in administering conscious sedation and monitoring patient recovery. While the department does not perform advanced procedures, it offers robust interdisciplinary support from IV, respiratory services, and pharmacy teams, with anesthesia support available for the majority of cases. The schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, though variations may occur, including potential weekend shifts and rotating on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Hiring Process
Targeted start dates for this position are June 1 or June 15, 2026. Interviews will be conducted via phone or video call. Successful candidates will complete specific onboarding modules, including Pharmacology, a Skills Checklist, and a Specialty Exam, alongside required certifications.
