Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room

About the Position

This opportunity places a Registered Nurse within the Cardiovascular Operating Room at a premier facility in Atlanta, GA. The role is designed for a dynamic environment where clinical expertise directly impacts patient outcomes in complex surgical settings. As a traveler with Mindlance Health, you will join a team dedicated to high-level cardiovascular and thoracic care, supporting procedures ranging from CABG and valve replacements to advanced vascular interventions.

The unit operates on a rotational schedule, typically involving three 12-hour day shifts per week. The role includes variable call responsibilities, generally rotating one week of day call and one weekend every 5-6 weeks. Nurses may be required to float within the facility and scope of practice, including the Main Operating Room, to support fluctuating patient needs. This position is ideal for a clinician seeking to apply their skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting while maintaining a flexible travel lifestyle.

Hiring Process & Application

Candidates must meet a minimum of two years of experience in the unit, though first-time travelers are accepted. The selection process involves a rigorous clinical screen to determine fit against Piedmont guidelines. Once a candidate passes the clinical review, they are forwarded to the manager for a final decision. Clinical screens are conducted on a case-by-case basis.

To ensure a timely start, full compliance is required before the first day. Non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. All core compliance items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with all documents due the Tuesday prior to the start date. Orientation includes non-billable modules that vary by specialty and are recorded via transcripts.
