Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Catheterization Lab

About the Position

TravelNurseSource is partnering with Mindlance Health to recruit a qualified Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Longmont, Colorado. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work in a combined Catheterization and Interventional Radiology (IR) lab, providing exposure to a diverse range of cardiac and vascular cases.

The Role and Environment

In this dynamic unit, you will circulate and monitor cases, managing patient care before and after procedures. The lab handles an average of four cases daily, including a mix of catheterizations and IR procedures. You will support patients with common diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, and pacemaker interventions. The team operates with cardiologists in-house during the day and on-call overnight, supported by a dedicated team of Cath Lab Techs.

The schedule consists of four 9-hour shifts per week, with a requirement for approximately 10 weeknight call shifts per month and weekend call duties roughly every third weekend. Holiday call is shared among the staff, with specific rotations for major summer and winter holidays. The facility utilizes Epic, MacLab, and Siemens equipment, and a specific dress code of provided blues is enforced.

Hiring Process

Candidates will undergo a profile review with MedSol Clinical, followed by an interview with the Unit Manager at the facility. A valid driver's license must be submitted, and candidates must be located within a 60-mile radius of the facility. Orientation is conducted over a couple of days during the week following the initial CSH orientation, even if the first day modules are remote. Clinicians must be in the state of Colorado during the week of orientation.
