Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOversee daily operations and clinical supervision of the Behavioral Health nursing staff
- check_circleCoordinate performance improvement activities and gather data for regulatory agencies
- check_circleEnsure compliance with NY State Office of Mental Health and JCAHO standards
- check_circleImplement hospital policies and procedures consistent with regulatory codes
- check_circleMonitor patient care areas to ensure clinical needs and competencies are met
- check_circleLead budgeting, supply maintenance, and inventory management for the unit
- check_circlePrepare statistical and special reports for state and city health departments
- check_circleManage unit admissions, discharges, and ensure appropriate clinical management
Requirements
- verified5+ years as Registered Nurse
- verified5+ years clinical experience in psychiatry
- verified2+ years leadership experience as nurse manager or director
- verifiedExperience managing a psych unit
- verifiedChild psych and psych ER management experience
- verifiedMaster's Degree in Nursing
- verifiedLicensed Professional Nurse in New York State
- verifiedBasic Life Support certification
- verifiedACLS certification
- verifiedCrisis Management (PMCS, TRUST) certification
