Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system serving a 22-county region across North Florida and South Georgia. As the region's healthcare leader, we are a career destination for over 6,000 colleagues who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
Our system is defined by advanced care capabilities, anchored by a 772-bed acute care hospital. We are proud to be the region's only provider of a Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care, and Pediatric Intensive Care. Additionally, we host the most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic, and surgery programs in the Panhandle. Our network extends to a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs, and more than 50 affiliated physician practices.
This position serves as a critical operational hub within our Surgical Services department, reporting directly to the Executive Director. The primary mission of this role is to oversee and manage all surgical services scheduling operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate coordination of operating rooms and procedural areas.
You will act as the primary point of accountability for block scheduling management, collaborating closely with surgical service leaders and physicians to allocate, monitor, release, and optimize block time. Beyond daily operations, you will develop and maintain standardized scheduling policies and workflows designed to optimize operating room utilization, supporting organizational goals related to access, throughput, and efficiency.
A key part of your day involves analyzing scheduling data and performance metrics—such as utilization rates, cancellation rates, delays, and case duration accuracy—to identify trends and implement process improvements. You will also integrate the TMH mission, vision, and values into your leadership, overseeing human resource management and professional practice development for the scheduling team while ensuring regulatory readiness and standard compliance.
Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
