About the Opportunity
NURSE's Etc. Staffing is seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN for a Med Surg / Telemetry assignment in Waterloo, Iowa. This 13-week position begins on June 15, 2026, offering a dynamic schedule of three 12-hour day shifts per week.
Role Context
This role is designed for a versatile nurse ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment without a designated home unit. As a floating nurse, you will provide primary care across Med Surg while supporting needs in Behavioral Health, the Emergency Department, ICU, and post-procedural areas based on census and staffing requirements. Success in this position requires high proficiency in telemetry, including the ability to confidently read EKGs and rhythm strips, as well as managing critical drips such as heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin.
Application Instructions
To be considered for this assignment, candidates must submit a resume demonstrating 24 months of recent experience in Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, or Telemetry. Required documentation includes an active Iowa or compact nursing license via Nursys, proof of AHA/ARC ACLS and BLS certifications, and a valid driver's license. While a De-Escalation Certificate and NIH Stroke Scale certification are preferred, they can be obtained during onboarding. First-time travelers with at least two years of hospital experience are encouraged to apply.
