Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a 6-bed emergency department setting
- check_circleAdminister and titrate drips including TNK, cardiac drips, insulin, heparin, and propofol
- check_circlePerform and support rapid sequence intubation (RSI) procedures
- check_circleMonitor and interpret telemetry using Spacelabs cardiac monitors
- check_circleOperate specialized equipment including Lucas device, Airvo, and Hamilton ventilator
- check_circleFunction independently as the sole RN on shift during overnight hours
Requirements
- verifiedActive Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license
- verifiedMinimum 24 months of recent Emergency Department/ER experience
- verifiedMust have completed a travel contract within the previous 15 months
- verifiedActive BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC certifications
- verifiedNIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- verifiedEPIC EMR experience required
- verifiedExperience with drip/titration of TNK, cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin
- verifiedRSI experience
- verifiedTelemetry monitoring experience
Nice to Have
Active de-escalation certification (CPI, MAB, MOAB, or SAMA); Experience with Lucas device, Airvo, and Hamilton ventilator equipment; Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months; Experience using Spacelabs cardiac monitors for telemetry measurement and interpretation.
