Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is the region's first Magnet Hospital and a 525-bed tertiary care facility serving as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Trauma Program Manager to lead our Trauma Program and oversee nursing and patient care services. This unique opportunity combines leadership, clinical expertise, and program development in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
In this role, you will provide overall management and coordination of the trauma service, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements. You will guide staff development, lead process improvement initiatives, and engage in continuous quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes and operational performance. As a key leader, you will collaborate closely with physicians, emergency services, surgical teams, and hospital leadership to ensure seamless coordination of care and optimal performance across all trauma-related functions. You will also assist with fiscal and operational management, including budgeting, payroll, and supply cost control, while mentoring nursing and support staff to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
