About the Role

Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Trauma Critical Care certified surgeon to join our team at Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, AZ. This position serves as the Trauma Medical Director and clinical surgical faculty, playing a crucial role in advancing Level 1 Trauma care, acute care surgery, and surgical critical care within the community.

The ideal candidate will embody excellent communication skills and thrive in a high-volume, matrixed environment. You will provide comprehensive, high-quality care to patients with surgical needs while educating surgical residents and medical students through our newly developed General Surgery GME program under Creighton University East Valley Arizona (CUEVA).

Team and Mission

You will lead a collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers covering Trauma Critical Care, Acute Care Surgery (ACS), and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Supported by great MA and operations leadership, this role combines clinical excellence with administrative stewardship. As Trauma Medical Director for our Level 1 Trauma facility, you will be accountable to the Medical Staff and hospital departments for the quality of trauma services, ensuring compliance with the American College of Surgeons Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient.

Your mission extends to the broader community through recruitment and retention of staff, oversight of ongoing training for medical and nursing personnel, and engagement in community outreach. You will work closely with CRMC administration to plan activities, develop program objectives, and manage the operations budget.
