Amazon's Intermodal (AZIM) Operations team drives the end-to-end operational execution of all loads within our 1P network. As the first line of defense in understanding network trends, delays, and exceptions, we ensure the timely pickup and delivery of freight from vendors, fulfillment centers, rail yards, and shipper hubs. Our mission is to deliver a world-class transportation product that serves our customers reliably, even when disruptions occur. We are a rapidly growing team supporting regions and shippers across the global supply chain.
As a Transportation Specialist, you will facilitate the continued flow of Amazon's supply chain by resolving disruptions that impact customer experience and delivery performance. You will act as the primary point of contact for carriers and drivers, researching issues, setting appropriate expectations, and working within the Amazon Transportation network to get trailers and trucks back on track.
In this high-volume call center environment, you will address concerns arising during the lifecycle of freight leaving rail ramps, shipper hubs, or transiting between rail and over-the-road carriers. Your day-to-day involves querying internal tools to make real-time decisions, providing support to field teams, and collaborating with cross-functional partners including Transportation Operations Management, Amazon Freight Shippers, and rail partners. Success in this role requires a passion for quickly providing solutions, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with significant growth opportunities.
All calls in this role are monitored and recorded for training and compliance purposes. Amazon is committed to a fair and inclusive hiring process. If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit our accommodations page for more information.
Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
