Amazon's Intermodal (AZIM) Operations team drives the end-to-end operational execution of all loads, both internal and external, shipped on our 1P network. As the first line of defense in understanding network trends, delays, and exceptions, the team ensures the on-time pickup and delivery of freight from vendors, Amazon fulfillment centers, rail yards, and shipper hubs. We are tasked with addressing disruptions, keeping all stakeholders informed, and ensuring timely resolutions to maintain a world-class transportation product.
The AZIM Transportation Operations Specialist facilitates the continued flow of Amazon's supply chain by resolving disruptions that impact customer experience or the flow of information. In this high-volume contact center environment, you will act as the primary point of contact for carriers and drivers, researching issues and making real-time decisions to get trailers and trucks back on track.
A day in the life involves passing critical information to key stakeholders and escalating concerns arising during the lifecycle of freight leaving rail ramps, shipper hubs, or transiting between rail and over-the-road carriers. You will use internal systems to gather data from multiple sources, analyze trends, and drive customer experience without compromising on time. Success in this role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with a passion for quickly providing solutions in a fast-paced setting.
Your calls will be monitored and recorded for training and compliance purposes. Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
