About the Role
This position serves as a critical bridge between local drivers, branch operations, and corporate management. The primary mission is to oversee and manage local drivers to ensure seamless communication and the implementation of new routes. You will be responsible for adapting MedTrans capabilities to deliver efficient, high-quality transportation services while maintaining strict compliance with all state Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
In this role, you will optimize daily routes and activities based on branch and fleet workloads to maximize the utility of all fleet assets. Your day-to-day involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the assigned MedTrans fleet, conducting regularly scheduled meetings with drivers, and visiting Medline customers to discuss operational issues and improve delivery service. You will also play a key role in developing and mentoring staff through onboarding, open communication, and performance management processes to build and maintain high team morale.
