About the Role

The Inova Center for Personalized Health is seeking a dedicated Transport Dispatcher to join the Transfer Center team. This role is vital to the daily operations of our 24/7 transport network, ensuring the safe and timely movement of patients within the Inova Health System and between external care partners.

As a Transport Dispatcher, you will be the central point of contact for coordinating and prioritizing ambulance transportation. Your day-to-day involves answering and directing calls for general or emergency ground transportation, entering requests into brokerage software, and tracking in-progress transports to manage ETAs. You will work closely with nursing teams, EMS personnel, and specialty teams to arrange critical care transports, determine appropriate levels of care, and manage escalations when challenges arise.

This is a full-time position operating on a rotating weekend schedule. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week, with options for either a day shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) or a night shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM).
