This position serves as a critical bridge between operational execution and safety compliance within the Midwest or Northeast regions. You will oversee driver training and compliance for a fleet of 100+ vehicles, ensuring that every team member operates safely and in strict adherence to DOT and Medline standards. The role exists to drive continuous improvement in training methodologies and fleet performance, directly impacting the safety culture of the organization.
In this hybrid capacity, you will partner with regional Operations leadership to interpret and execute policies, while also recommending new guidelines to enhance staff functioning. You will spend approximately 40% of your time traveling within and out of state to conduct hands-on training, perform audits, and engage with drivers and supervisors across the assigned geography.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of strategic analysis and on-the-ground coaching. You will conduct "train the trainer" classes to develop new Fleet Champion Trainers and provide recertification for existing ones. Beyond the classroom, you will deliver hands-on driver training, guiding new drivers through their progression and certifications.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to risk management and compliance. You will monitor driver scorecards, conduct risk reviews with Fleet Supervisors, and perform audits to ensure adherence to Hours of Service and driver inspection regulations. You will also compile metrics and trend analysis to present to leadership, helping to shape data-driven decisions for fleet performance.
Additionally, you will act as a consultant during the onboarding of new drivers and support legal proceedings by performing due diligence on incidents involving legal counsel. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will frequently speak before groups of team members and customers to deliver training and address safety initiatives.
Candidates must be located in the Midwest or Northeast region to report to a local hybrid location. The role requires a candidate capable of managing concurrent projects with competing priorities and critical deadlines.
