The Training Manager serves as the strategic leader for the organization's staff development and training initiatives. This role is designed to direct, plan, and implement comprehensive training programs that align with the operational needs of the facility while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
In this position, you will coordinate all staff training in an organized manner that minimizes disruption to institutional operations. The role involves conducting competency testing, establishing systems for recognizing training completion, and reviewing key training indicators such as incident reports and personnel actions. You will also be responsible for preparing monthly progress reports for the Facility Administrator, Corporate Office, and the Contracting Authority.
A critical aspect of this role is maintaining current training information by establishing contact with various correctional organizations. You will ensure that all staff and volunteers receive training consistent with their job classifications and the specific needs of the facility. Additionally, you will adhere to strict policies regarding the creation, editing, transmission, storage, and disposition of all Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with Sequel Youth & Family Youth Services standards.
