The Traffic Control Supervisor II is the operational leader on the ground, responsible for overseeing and executing traffic control and safety operations for assigned projects across state highways and roadways. This role exists to ensure that every work zone is safe, compliant, and efficient, protecting both the public and the crews working within it.
In this position, you will lead daily traffic control crews, including Traffic Control Technicians and Flaggers, applying advanced knowledge of traffic control to mentor team members and manage project documentation. Your day involves setting up, monitoring, and removing lane closures, redirecting traffic for workers or survey crews, and operating specialized vehicles like Management of Traffic (MOT) and Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) units. You will also transport equipment and safety products to and from job sites, perform shop duties for equipment maintenance, and ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
