This Therapist position serves as a critical bridge for individuals whose lives are disrupted by mental illness, behavioral disturbances, or substance abuse issues. The role exists to provide comprehensive assessments that determine the appropriate level of care, whether through voluntary admission, emergency detention, or community referrals. In this capacity, you will conduct psychosocial evaluations, facilitate emergency detentions, and coordinate inpatient admissions. Your day-to-day involves interviewing patients and families to identify precipitating events, assessing psychosocial stressors, and linking individuals to outpatient programs or community resources. You will also participate in continuous quality improvement activities and the organization's community relations program, advocating for patients while maintaining a safe, healing environment for all.
At SUN Behavioral Health, we are committed to service excellence and the belief that every individual deserves compassionate care.
