This position serves as a critical bridge for individuals whose lives are disrupted by mental illness, behavioral disturbances, or substance abuse issues. The Therapist Lead is responsible for conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to determine the appropriate level of care, whether that involves voluntary admission, emergency detention, or community referrals. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assist law enforcement, families, and medical staff in navigating the admission process and ensuring patients are linked to the right outpatient or inpatient programs.
Beyond clinical assessments, this role involves facilitating therapy sessions for individuals and groups, managing crisis situations using Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques, and leading discharge planning efforts. The position requires flexibility to cover weekend critical needs and participate in continuous quality improvement activities to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and care.
