About the Team

Lockheed Martin's C-130 Flight Operations team is where the "rubber meets the road" for all new C-130J aircraft and capabilities emerging from our Marietta plant. We are responsible for conducting acceptance check flights on newly assembled aircraft and flight testing of modified platforms. Our mission is to ensure airworthiness and operational suitability, serving as the critical link between engineering design and real-world performance.

About the Role

As a C-130J Test Pilot, you will be at the forefront of validating the capabilities of the C-130J, C-5M, and other AMMM aircraft. This role is designed for those with the passion and courage to dream big and work hard to make the impossible a reality. You will partner with flight test, production, engineering, and business development teams to define requirements, develop Statements of Work, and execute experimental test flights.

Your day-to-day will involve planning and executing flight tests to verify performance, conducting production acceptance and functional check flights, and piloting aircraft on delivery, ferry, and airshow demonstration flights. You will also engage with customers, government officials, and media representatives to exhibit aircraft performance and flying qualities. Beyond the cockpit, you will contribute to safety reviews, develop operating procedures, and provide instruction to company and customer aircrew.

Location & Schedule This position is onsite at our facility in Marietta, GA. The schedule follows a 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week model. While we support a variety of alternate work schedules, this role requires full-time onsite presence.
