Our C-130 Flight Operations team is where the "rubber meets the road" for all new C-130J aircraft and capabilities emerging from our Marietta plant. We are responsible for conducting acceptance check flights of newly assembled aircraft and flight testing of modified platforms. As a Lockheed Martin C-130 Pilot, you will be part of a group of some of the greatest minds in the industry, using our passion for purposeful innovation to help keep people safe and solve the world's most complex challenges.
You will serve as the primary pilot for production acceptance, functional checks, and engineering test flights on new or modified C-130J aircraft. Your day-to-day will involve piloting aircraft on delivery and ferry flights, as well as leading airshow demonstrations and conducting demonstration flights for customers, government officials, and media representatives to exhibit performance and system capabilities.
Beyond the cockpit, you will provide critical pilot input to flight test, production, engineering, and business development teams. You will help define requirements, develop Statements of Work, and review ground and flight test plans. This role also includes conducting safety reviews, validating aircraft flight manuals, and providing classroom, simulator, and flight instruction for both company and customer aircrew.

Top Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain; FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) - Airplane Multi-engine Land license; Flight Instructor (CFI) - Airplane Multi-engine and/or Instrument Airplane license; 300 hours Pilot-In-Command time in transport type aircraft; Current and qualified as a C-130J Instructor Pilot or Flight Examiner; Experience in courseware development, platform and simulator instruction, and in-flight instruction; Experience in writing and reviewing technical publications; Experience with AFI 10-220 / DCMA INST 8210-1 and contract flight operations; Experience with C-130J Tactical Operations and/or Special Operations; Current or previously qualified to conduct C-130 Functional or Acceptance Check Flight (FCF/ACF) operations; Experience in legacy C-130 models (e.g., C-130H, KC-130T); Graduate of weapons or tactics school, safety school, or advanced instrument school; Current passport.
