About the Role

This position is for an advanced shop mechanic required to perform all standard shop duties plus special advanced duties. You will be trained in advanced skills and technologies, serving as a critical resource for complex mechanical and electrical repairs. The role involves performing major repairs on refrigeration units, including diesel engine overhauls and compressor rebuilds, as well as handling major diesel engine repairs and overhead services.

In this role, you will work independently and within a team environment to diagnose and repair systems ranging from brakes and anti-lock systems to electrical, cooling, fuel, and coupling systems. You will be expected to perform preventative maintenance, belt replacements, and charging/starting system troubleshooting on refrigeration units without supervision. The position requires a flexible schedule to meet changing operational needs, including availability for shop on-call rotations and road calls using a company vehicle.
