About the Role

As a Non-Rated Technician, you will serve as a critical link within a military tactical monitor and scheduling facility. In this role, you will schedule and monitor flight and ground activities within special use airspace and restricted ground areas, interfacing with multi-governmental agencies to coordinate real-time issues and ensure successful mission outcomes.

Your day-to-day involves monitoring autonomous and tactical controlled aircraft, answering radio calls, and providing range status, weather conditions, and pertinent data using computerized tactical radar and air-to-ground communication systems. You will determine and issue boundary, traffic, and safety advisories to preserve safety-of-flight, ensuring aircraft remain within scheduled airspace. Additionally, you will coordinate, validate, and de-conflict the safe usage of various air and ground weapons, controlling access and monitoring ground activities within restricted areas.

This position requires the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software failures in tactical radar and radio systems, configure communication networks, and manage range schedules to ensure correct application of separation standards. You will also play a key role during Search and Rescue or emergency events, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information to military and governmental command authorities.
