HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Range Training Officer (RTO) to support daily mission execution, airspace coordination, and training operations for the United States Air Force Weapons School (USAFWS) at Nellis AFB. This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in Air Traffic Control, Command & Control (C2), Mission Operations, Air Battle Management, Weapons Direction, Airfield Operations, or similar airspace, range, and mission-coordination environments.
RTOs help ensure safe, efficient, and realistic mission flow during live-fly and simulated training events, enabling the Weapons School to train and graduate the Air Force's next generation of Weapons Officers. You will monitor bomb deployment during live training, coordinate Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) threat-replication activities, and maintain real-time situational awareness of aircraft and mission flow. Your work involves coordinating with range control, mission operations, and participating units to support safe airspace utilization, while assisting instructors during mission briefs and debriefs with timelines and mission data.
