One team. Global challenges. Infinite opportunities. At Viasat, we're on a mission to deliver connections with the capacity to change the world. For more than 35 years, Viasat has helped shape how consumers, businesses, governments, and militaries around the globe communicate. We're looking for people who think big, act fearlessly, and create an inclusive environment that drives positive impact to join our team.
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an onsite Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tempe, AZ. You will provide hands-on engineering support to diagnose and resolve complex performance anomalies—such as thermal, vibration, and vacuum issues—while leading a team of technicians and junior engineers toward consistent testing excellence.
Beyond technical troubleshooting, you will collaborate with contract manufacturers to maintain specialized equipment, optimize testing lifecycles, and advocate for the resources needed to ensure the timely delivery of flight-ready modules. As the primary point of contact between the Engineering team and the production floor, you will streamline communication and work alongside manufacturing partners to identify potential production bottlenecks and develop proactive solutions.
This is a US government position requiring US citizenship. Candidates should be prepared for up to 10% travel.
