SAAB's Engineering & Design team in Defense & Aerospace is dedicated to delivering mission-critical solutions for cutting-edge defense systems. We operate in a highly collaborative and supportive environment where innovation and efficiency drive our work from concept through production. Our team is committed to ensuring the performance, reliability, and strict compliance with military standards for the systems we build.
As a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design of complex defense and aerospace systems. This role exists to bridge the gap between high-level system requirements and detailed engineering execution, ensuring that every design meets rigorous safety and regulatory standards. You will guide the entire product lifecycle, performing system-level trade studies, detailed CAD modeling, and advanced thermal and structural analyses. Beyond technical execution, you will mentor junior engineers, drive design reviews, and collaborate across disciplines to solve challenging integration and testing problems.
Candidates interested in joining our team should submit their application through the official SAAB careers portal. The selection process typically involves a review of qualifications, followed by interviews with the hiring team to assess technical expertise and cultural fit.
SAAB is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics.
