About the Role
This position serves as a Temporary Support Assistant (TSA) within the school system, creating a candidate pool for future openings at Preschool/PreK, elementary, and secondary grade levels. Under the direction of supervising teachers or administrators, TSAs play a vital role in supporting the physical, emotional, behavioral, and instructional needs of students.
The role is designed to assist professional staff in executing individual student objectives. A typical day involves supervising students throughout the school day, both within the building and at off-site work locations. Responsibilities include facilitating student transitions (such as bus loading/unloading), supporting self-care activities like toileting and feeding, and reinforcing instructional tasks in one-on-one or small group settings. TSAs are also responsible for observing student behavior, collecting data on performance, and implementing behavior strategies as directed.
