The Telemetry Technician (U) plays a vital role in patient safety by providing indirect care through the continuous monitoring of patients with cardiac telemetry. Based at the UHealth Tower, this position requires onsite attendance to ensure real-time oversight of cardiac functions. The technician acts as a critical link between monitoring technology and clinical care, observing cardiac rhythms continuously, recognizing interference, and immediately reporting dysrhythmias to the assigned nursing staff. This role demands high attention to detail to document monitor strips, manage equipment inventory, and ensure all alarms remain active, directly supporting the medical team in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
