This position operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians. The role is essential to aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by adhering to established standards and practices.
Radiologic technologists in this role exercise professional judgment to select and compute settings for each patient. They develop appropriate procedure and treatment plans, implementing them utilizing established hospital protocols and guidelines. The position requires maintaining equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
Candidates must have completed a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Applicants must be registered by the ARRT with a current Registry in Radiography (ARRT(R)), or be a new graduate waiting to take the registry exam.
Licensure requirements include ARRT(R) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire. New graduates are permitted to obtain the required registry within 120 days of hire. State licensure is required as applicable.
Interested candidates should submit their application including proof of education, ARRT registration status, and BLS certification. New graduates awaiting registry results should indicate their expected exam date.
