This position is designed for a skilled professional whose actions directly drive operational success. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery and mechanical equipment. Your expertise ensures that production lines remain efficient and safe, bridging the gap between technical precision and practical problem-solving.
In this role, you will implement preventive maintenance programs as directed by management, perform routine checks on building equipment, and assist with assigned project work. You will apply quality system procedures to maintain high standards, identify potential safety hazards to prevent injuries, and adhere to strict housekeeping and safety practices. The role requires a versatile technician capable of handling complex mechanical and electrical issues, from milling metals and servicing boilers to troubleshooting compressed air systems and electrical wiring.
We seek a self-motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a craftsman, electromechanics, or maintenance technician. Board certification or equivalent experience in fields such as electrical wiring, welding, HVAC maintenance, pipe fitting, or hydraulics is required. You should possess excellent skills in mechanical and electrical maintenance, including the repair of production equipment, and have a thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations.
Success in this role requires strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to work effectively in a team with limited supervision, and excellent communication abilities. You must be physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, working on ladders or scaffolding, and spending prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, or crawling in confined spaces. Proficiency in reading blueprints, performing mechanical measurements, and utilizing electronic systems like Prism, Wonderware, and SharePoint is essential.
