This position is designed for individuals whose actions lead to success and whose expertise drives the team forward. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery and mechanical equipment within the plant. Your work ensures operational continuity by implementing preventive maintenance programs, maintaining building equipment, and addressing potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
You will serve as a key member of a team environment, applying your skills in electrical wiring, welding, HVAC maintenance, pipe fitting, or hydraulics to solve complex work-related problems. The role requires a thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as the ability to maintain high standards of housekeeping and plant safety.
Your day involves a blend of hands-on technical work and digital coordination. You will read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints to guide repairs and utilize CMMS software to track maintenance activities. Routine tasks include performing calibrations, milling metals, servicing boilers, and troubleshooting compressed air or electrical systems.
Physical demands are a core part of the role, requiring prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. You must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and working in confined spaces. Beyond the physical work, you will use electronic systems like Prism, Wonderware, and SharePoint to retrieve information and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience as a craftsman, electromechanics, or maintenance technician. Board certification or equivalent experience in specific fields such as electrical wiring, welding, or hydraulics is required. The selection process focuses on verifying your ability to work with limited supervision, your organizational skills, and your proficiency with the necessary tools and safety protocols.
