The Technical Manager - Software Engineering serves as the strategic leader for a dynamic team of 15 to 25 software engineers. This role is designed to bridge the gap between high-level organizational objectives and technical execution. You will not only direct the development of complex engineering solutions but also cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
In this position, you will establish the technical strategy for your function, ensuring that short-term operational plans align with the company's broader priorities. Your day-to-day involves providing technical guidance on architecture, design, and implementation while managing budgets, staffing, and talent development. You will act as a key advisor to subordinate staff, helping them resolve technical challenges and meet rigorous schedules. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with Business Development, Program Management, and executive leadership to influence strategic planning and identify emerging technologies that can disrupt or enhance our current offerings.
Candidates for this role must be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. The selection process includes a review of your technical background, leadership experience, and ability to navigate complex program requirements. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven track record in leading full software lifecycles and managing cross-functional teams.

Experience as a Lead SW Engineer or Subject Matter Expert on a product development effort. Minimum of 8 years of software development experience with OOD, UML, C/C++, Java, and Web Development. Experience developing or leading Enterprise Software Systems with high availability requirements. Experience with Cloud development and related technologies, like Containers and Cloud Services, and understanding of Cloud Service Models like IaaS, SaaS and PaaS.
