Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm offering a genuine coast-to-coast and global advantage across major U.S. regions and key financial centers including New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston. As independent members of Baker Tilly International, a worldwide network spanning 141 territories with 43,000 professionals, we deliver professional services through an alternative practice structure that adheres to the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.
Our Technical Accounting Consulting (TAC) group is a close-knit, rapidly expanding team dedicated to helping clients navigate complex accounting and financial reporting challenges. We specialize in revenue recognition (ASC Topic 606), lease accounting (ASC Topic 842), and other intricate US GAAP issues such as business combinations, variable interest entity consolidation, debt and equity instruments, and stock-based compensation. The group also leads larger-scale projects focused on audit and IPO readiness. With ample room for growth and career development, TAC offers a dynamic environment for professionals eager to make an impact.
As a Manager in our Technical Accounting Practice, you will serve as a pivotal resource for clients facing sophisticated financial reporting issues. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex regulatory requirements and practical business solutions. You will manage multiple concurrent engagements, providing technical accounting and business advisory guidance while overseeing engagement economics and resource allocation.
In this position, you will collaborate directly with firm specialists to resolve complex accounting matters and assist in preparing technical memos and client deliverables. Beyond client work, you will play a key role in the firm's culture by mentoring and training others within the TAC practice, advising on career development, and participating in broader firm initiatives. Your ability to anticipate client concerns and identify performance improvement opportunities will be essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence.
