About the Role
As a Financial Analyst III - External Reporting, you will join a dynamic team where you can add immediate value while continuing to learn and develop your career. This is a pivotal role designed to bridge technical accounting expertise with strategic business partnerships. You will work closely with a variety of business areas and business leaders, making a tangible impact through your solid accounting skills and business acumen.
Located in our Houston, TX Corporate office, you will report to the Sr Manager, External Reporting. In this capacity, you will complement the department's accounting resources, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of our external financial communications.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssist with drafting financial statements and footnote disclosures for SEC filings
- check_circleCoordinate efforts with internal and external groups to gather financial information for SEC filings
- check_circleAssist with the monthly preparation of the statement of cash flows
- check_circleEnsure compliance with SEC XBRL filing requirements
- check_circleCoordinate financial reporting for employee benefit plans and captive insurance companies
- check_circlePrepare quarterly auditor GAAP checklist and other quarterly reports
- check_circleAssist with the maintenance and application of internal controls
- check_circleOversee special projects within the Accounting function as needed
- check_circleBook journal entries and prepare account reconciliations during month-end close
- check_circleEvaluate accounting consequences of potential transactions and provide input on proposed agreements
- check_circleResearch, interpret, and communicate US GAAP and SEC regulations
- check_circleCoordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits
Requirements
