About the Job
This opportunity is designed for Owner Operators working in teams to handle Over-The-Road (OTR) refrigerated freight. The role focuses on LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) operations where drivers are responsible for driving but do not handle loading or unloading of cargo.
Drivers can expect a gross average pay of $12,000 per week for the team, paid weekly, along with a paid fuel surcharge. The typical route covers an average of 7,000 miles per week per team.
Home Time
The schedule generally expects drivers to be out for 7 days at a time. However, teams have the flexibility to stay out longer if they choose. The standard expectation is to be home for at least two weekends per month.
Equipment Requirements
Teams may operate trucks of any age, as there is no maximum age limit for the equipment. However, overdimensional trucks are not permitted for this position.
Hiring Requirements
To qualify, drivers must hold a valid Class A license without specific restrictions, including (L) or (Z) for Air Brakes, (G) for Night Driving, (O) for No Semi Trailer, or (K) for Intrastate Only. Additionally, candidates must possess at least 12 months of Tractor Trailer experience.
