The Team Leader, Food and Nutrition Services leads and supervises Food and Nutrition Service activities and the work of food servers, dish machine operators, food handlers, cashiers, caterers, and clinical aides. This role ensures that all essential tray line, cafeteria, patient service, and sanitation positions are covered with properly trained personnel. The Team Leader monitors staff performance, documents attendance and performance issues, and implements corrective actions when necessary. A key part of the day-to-day responsibilities involves ensuring that serving equipment is functioning properly, food temperatures comply with standards, and stations are adequately stocked to complete meal services. The role also requires overseeing the preparation, portioning, and labeling of special orders and diet items, as well as ensuring that all tray line and cafeteria stations are cleaned and sanitized before breaks and at the end of shifts.
This position requires working every other weekend and holiday.
