Corrections Oversight Worker

About the Role

The Corrections Oversight Worker serves as a vital link in the food service operations within correctional facilities. In this position, you will supervise inmates to ensure meal and food items are prepared in strict accordance with production plans. Beyond overseeing food preparation and tray assembly, you will train workers in proper methods, assign and coordinate tasks to promote operational efficiency, and ensure the facility maintains high standards of sanitation and personal safety.

This role requires a unique blend of culinary oversight and security awareness. You will be responsible for directing inmates in the use of recipes, ensuring proper portions and special dietary requirements are met, and maintaining strict adherence to security policies, including the secure storage of keys and equipment. The position involves participating in the full lifecycle of meal service—from preparation and inventory to serving and post-production—while ensuring all HACCP policies and company standards of operation are followed.
