About the Role
The Food Service Worker plays a vital role in supporting the manager to ensure high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety. This position is essential for maintaining the daily rhythm of meal service, from preparing quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu to ensuring accurate storage and timely service. The role requires a keen eye for detail to add garnishments that ensure customer happiness and eye appeal, while strictly adhering to food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
In this position, you will be the backbone of a clean and organized work environment. Your day involves coordinating major cleaning efforts for refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment, as well as maintaining garbage collection sites and kitchen floors in a neat and sanitary fashion. You will work closely with the Manager daily to understand the menu and verify transactions through daily reports. This role demands the ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure, utilizing kitchen equipment safely and caring for tools like knives with precision.
