A key aspect of the role is supervising students to protect them from conditions harmful to their mental, physical health, or safety, while taking necessary precautions to safeguard students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Hiring Requirements
Candidates must hold a media specialist certification to be eligible for hire. Additionally, applicants must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in the appropriate subject area. The role is open to candidates with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and no prior experience is required.
Compensation
The starting salary for this teacher position is $48,700. Additional Referendum money is available for the next two years, starting at $7,730 for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers hired during the school year will receive a prorated supplement amount based on the date of hire.
