About the School

Lithonia High School, part of the DeKalb County School District, is seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join our faculty. Our mission is to implement, deliver, and promote high academic expectations to all students, utilizing best practices to increase student achievement.

About the Role

As a History Teacher, you will plan and deliver educational instruction to diverse learners, including those with special needs, in line with state and district standards. Your goal is to create a safe, engaging learning environment that promotes academic success, physical fitness, and life skills for global citizenship. You will work collaboratively with team members and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster a supportive community.

The role requires the ability to perform work independently under moderate supervision while applying foundational knowledge to effectively manage both in-person and virtual classroom environments. You will be responsible for creating a space appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students, utilizing internet and web-based technology to provide instruction and collaboration.

  • check_circlePlan and deliver educational instruction to diverse learners in line with state and district standards
