As a Grade 4 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of young learners into mature, able, and responsible individuals. Your mission is to facilitate the acquisition of essential subject matter and skills while fostering a classroom environment that is both conducive to learning and responsive to the unique maturity and interests of your students.
In this position, you will guide the learning process to achieve specific curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects. You will employ a variety of instructional techniques and media tailored to the needs of individual students and groups, ensuring that every learner is supported in their journey. Beyond academics, you will help students set and maintain standards of behavior, creating a fair and just classroom atmosphere.
You will also be a key partner in the district's educational initiatives, specifically supporting the CORE Literacy initiative and the WOW (Working on the Works) program. Your day will involve planning purposeful assignments for teacher aides and volunteers, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with administration to implement policies governing student life and conduct. Additionally, you will be available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside of instructional hours when required.
