About the Role

As a Teacher at PS601, you will provide direct instruction to students and maintain an environment conducive to learning. Your mission is to lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. You will embody the district's mission and vision through evidence-based teaching practices that advance strategic educational goals and promote student achievement outcomes.

Your day will involve creating and implementing standards-aligned lesson plans, utilizing personalized learning pathways and educational technology to meet the diverse needs of all students. You will foster a positive classroom culture, establish behavioral expectations, and collaborate with colleagues to design coherent instructional frameworks. Beyond the classroom, you will build positive relationships with students, families, and community partners, ensuring open lines of communication regarding academic and behavioral progress.

Hiring Process

Candidates must hold an appropriate Missouri teacher's certificate to be considered for this position. The role reports directly to the Principal and is classified as Exempt under FLSA regulations.
