About the Role

As a Service and Engagement Team Leader, you will be an advocate for the guest experience, empowering your team to welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations. In this role, no two days are ever the same, but you will focus on making shopping quick and easy for guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, and pick-up locations.

You will lead a team of passionate Guest Advocates, Service Advocates, and Front of Store Attendants, fostering a guest-first culture that drives loyalty. Your day will involve actively observing team performance, providing feedback, and holding the team accountable for delivering on Target's guest experience commitments. You will also interpret sales goals and business reporting to plan daily workloads, ensuring the team is aligned on behaviors that elevate the guest experience.

Beyond daily operations, you will play a key role in developing your team's skills through coaching, mentoring, and meaningful development conversations. You will help close skill gaps, support continuous education, and personalize recognition to reinforce critical guest service behaviors. Whether de-escalating guest concerns, ensuring safety compliance, or supporting digital services like Drive-Up, you will model a culture of inclusivity, ethical conduct, and safety.
